11 Years Later:

Why I Relaunched missnewfoodie

I first created missnewfoodie on Instagram in 2013 during my freshman year at NYU. At the time, the account was all about exploring restaurants as a new NYC resident and enjoying late-night bites with friends from my dorm. It started as a way to document my new life in NYC!

Over time, I ventured into the ‘influencer’ space, sharing more about my life. But somewhere along the way, I realized that being a public figure wasn’t for me. I wanted to focus on the joy of food, not the attention. So, in 2020, I decided to step back and shut it all down.

Fast forward to the end of 2024, I reflected on what missnewfoodie truly meant to me. Eleven years later, I decided to relaunch it with a fresh perspective. Today, missnewfoodie is a collection of recipes made right in my cozy apartment kitchen.

It’s where I find joy on weekends, chopping, stirring, and creating dishes that are simple and satisfying.

This blog is about savoring the little moments, weekend recipes, a quiet night in, and the joys of cooking and baking.

Welcome to my kitchen. I’m so glad you’re here.
